The co-founder and head of anti-virus research at Kaspersky Labs claims that
Vista's lukewarm reception will drive more customers towards alternative
platforms, making them a more attractive target for malware writers. 'Home
users are not so loyal to the OS. Not many of them are satisfied with
Microsoft Vista,' Kaspersky told PC Pro. 'Some Windows users will switch to
other OSes. Microsoft will not lose its dominance, but it will be reduced a
bit.'

So how does this information help those that came here looking for

The newsgroup does not say .assistance it says .general

Now I am assisting people in making intelligent assessment of the OS called
vista.
Many come in here asking if it is wise to upgrade from XP to Vista.

It is not. And I am saving them from much trouble.
They have to know that the future of vista is bleak and they must also know
that there are alternative ways if in the future they decide to leave XP for
another OS.

Now tell Mr wiseguy... what are YOU DOING to help other than playing netcop
and whining?

Since you love to post Linux tidbits all the time in the Vista newsgroup,
all I have to say is "yawn". Been there, seen that!!!

Linux stinks as a desktop OS because of driver and application
incompatibility.

GUESS WHAT? VISTA IS THE SAME THING! lol
But vista stinks in a shiny way.... you like your doo doo polished?

XP rules.. the best OS microsoft ever made, and the last OS of the golden
era of MS.

From now on Vista will bring total destruction to microsoft.

Now you're becoming pathetically desperate and very delusional. The

You're now entering the delusional phase of mental psychosis.
I don't think your mom's basement is the proper place for you to be
