I suggest that you return to the XP operating system. I purchased a new
computer and I had no choice as to what operating system it had. It is
apparent that Micro-Soft is having it's issues and should consider returning
all operating systems to XP.
Since I purchased the new pc I have had nothing but trouble from it
I would like Microsoft to replace the operating system so that I can
continue operating my pc. I currently experience a lot of problem, from
starting closing adding new programs in general it needs to be removed and
exchanged for XP Pro just like I had before it changed to Vista

What brand of PC did you buy?

I bought a new Dell laptop for Christmas with Vista Home Premium on it. I
didn't like it so I got a Dell OEM XP CD from Amazon Marketplace for $40,
installed XP and stopped bitching. I found all the drivers I needed for XP
on the Dell support web site. Now I have it dual boot and when I am feeling
super tolerant I try Vista for an hour or so. Sometimes it makes me laugh.

I figure the chance of them adopting your suggestion is about zero, but I
clicked your "I agree" button anyway. It "thanked" me.

A Microsoft system guy that couldn't find his files, came begging to
this newsgroup to ask where they were.

What a hoot! A Microsoft "systems" guys that doesn't know the first
thing about Microsoft's file system.

True, but you have to buy over priced featureless business models. 80G
drive instead of 320G. Costs more too.

If he is brave, select a model, download the XP drivers and buy a OEM XP
might be less expensive. MS will sell another unused Vista license, but the
saving could justify it.

Your issue is not with Microsoft - it's with the vendor of the PC.

If you bought a car with the wrong sized tires, it would be silly to
complain to Goodyear.

Why should I do that? I don't have any problems with Vista, as I suspect
that there are many who really don't have a problem running Vista.

Since I purchased my computer back in 4/2007 which came with Vista and I
upgraded to another version of Vista, I have had really no problems -- none.
It runs like a champ. I got VS 2008, MS SQL 2005, Office 2007, and a whole
host of other programs running that are Vista compliant. Even the one
program that I am running that is not Vista compliant Mailwasher is running
with no problems.

You start installing software on Vista that's not Vista compliant, then you
ask for trouble. You ask for trouble.

It really doesn't take that much to run Vista successfully.

It's really unbelievable how people will start crying. <g>
