Vista with no java

I just got a new computer with Vista. It has no kind of Java in it. What
java or any thing else should i download if any to play pogo and to get into
different sites. I do not know and it does not say. Please help.

The latest version is 6. Don't go to www.java.com it only offers an older
version, I think it's version 5, release 11. Go to the link that Jane C
posted and the one you want is in the middle of the page. (JRE)6

I have spent 4 hours trying to get this to download. The online download
gives a 1606 error and the offline download hangs up about 24% in to the
download. I have home premium 32 bit - a new dell notebook that came with it
installed. Any ideas or suggetions?
