I installed the latest Windows update yesterday and when I went to restart
the computer Windows will not load. It comes up with a screen saying Windows
Error Recovery. I have talked to Dell and we tried a bunch of options all
resulting in the same thing, a blue screen comes up and then the computer
will restart on its own. The computer wont start in safe mode, last known
configuration or when I try the disable driver signiture.

Does anybody know what is happening and possibly a way to fix it?

Thanks

The same thing happened to me yesterday - system went into a continuous
"loop" at startup, and nothing I tried would get me back to Vista.

Ended up doing a complete restore from backups. System back to normal now,
but this is the 2nd time in 5 months I've had to restore after installing
"updates".

No more for me .....

I could be completely wrong about this and have no documentation ... but ...
I never restart after MS updates until my CPU / hard drive cease major
activity.
