Vista Updates & Service Packs - Where are they stored?

Where are Windows Updates stored so that you don't have to download them
again? This becomes more critical with
dialup accounts. Thank you in anticipation.

Once the update is downloaded and installed, it can't be retrieved. When
updates are offered, from the View Available Updates box, right click on an
update, choose view details, then click on the link to take you to the KB
article or Security Bulletin about it. In there find the download link for
that update and download / save it. Then you can apply it.

ozzie,

It's same place as in XP - C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

However, I'm not sure how do you run those manually on Vista.
