Vista Ultimate extras

Does anyone know exactly what "ultimate extras" will eventually be
available?
I bought vista ultimate hoping for some great extras - not just a wee
game and a dreamscene background, both of which no doubt will be available
from software venders at a fraction of the extra "ultimate" cost in due
course.
Vista ultimate is well over £300 pounds in the uk, not a big sum of money
for some people, but a load for me. Am i being niave or just too
suspicious. I remember buying plus for windows 98 and found it to be
full of demos and a total waste of disc space.

Ultimate extras only means that you gave extra money to microsoft.. lol

What do you want? There are thousands upon thousands freeware that can do
anything you imagine... and they are free!

To see what you got for the money over and above other editions, look here..

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/editions/choose.mspx

The 'extras' will come in time.. there are already four new dream scenes
available as options from Vista Update.. of course, you didn't really buy
Ultimate just for the extras, did you.. it was picked because it has extra
features considered to be 'mission critical to whatever you do on your
computer.. :)

Go to www.windowsultimate.com

That is their special website for people with Vista Ultimate. You can email
the different people from microsoft who are in charge of the extras from
there. They have given out hints of stuff like new backgrounds, etc...
They are supposed to be working on utilities and other stuff but haven't
said too much yet....

The real sell is you get everything from the Consumer and Business versions
of Vista all in one product plus additional features and downloads through
the Ultimate Extras service.

Blimey, I paid £130 I think.
Still a lot of money considering it's in a box somewhere, unused.

Thanks for the genuine replies, but "ultimate extras" were advertised by
Microsoft as, and I quote,

"Exclusive to Windows Vista are Windows Ultimate Extras. These cutting-edge
programs, innovative services, and unique publications provide a richer
computing experience for Windows Vista Ultimate users"

It was a pointer that led me to buy vista ultimate, despite the much higher
extra cost. True vista ultimate has drive encryption, but it makes it the
most expensive encryption programme in the world, if ultimate extras do not
live up to this advert.

(A poker programme and a dream scene background does not excite me that
much, as it stands at present)

I await with baited breath to see if I have wasted my money by believing the
advertising.
