Vista Ultimate consuming a lot of space

Hello,

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate x64 for a while now and a few days ago I
started receiving this "C: running out of space" message. I then decided to
repartition my drive giving vista extra 5 GB. The repartition operation
completed successfully last nite and as soon as it booted up it only had
3.6GB of free disk space and now it has only 23 MB.

What is going on? I have noticed that c:\windows directory jumped from 23 to
27 GB since this morning and I didn't download anything in the last 2 weeks
nor did any signifcant operation whitin windows. Both user's and windows'
temp dirs are empty and I am running it as I normally do (just NOD32, 3
messengers and DUMeter). My total partition size for Vist has 36GB now and
my downloads/documents/music/pictures folder are located on another
partition. Even all the programs I have installed, I put them on an extra
partition that I call P: so the C: drive keeps only the bundled dlls and
Vista itself.

What could I do to check if it's a virus doing this or find the cause? I
just ran a virus scan using NOD32 and it didn't find anything. I have
already applied all the updates from MS site and I don't have system restore
feature turned on. My computer configuration is described below.

Intel Core2Duo 1.7 gh
Intel Motherboard 946gzis
Shared video memory 64mb
Phisical RAM memory 2gb
320 Western Digital HD SATA
Extra 40GB IDE drive together with LG cd burner.
ENLTV tv-in card
Multi-card reader installed
Extra C-Media Sound Card Value installed.
USB HP Scanner
USB HP Printer
USB Go Tec webcam

Running on startup:
PAC for the tv card
Skype, MSN, YAM, AIM, MySpace IM
NOD32
DUMeter
BlueSoleil BtTray.exe (bluetooth device)

These updates could play a role. Also, how much RAM do you have? It is
possible you have a paging file going out of control if you have limited
RAM.

TMA,

It's possible your previous System Restore points are taking up much of
this disk space. You can always delete all prior restore points to free up
disk space. Also, if you have low RAM and/or your paging file does not have
enough space alloted your machine could be writing everything to the
harddrive instead.

As described in the previous message I have 2 gb of ram (which I think is
pretty reasonable) and both my pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys files are each
2 gb. Again, I ran out of disk space last nite and repartitioned it so it
would be 5 gb bigger and TODAY it took all this extra space that I just gave
it and now I only have 17mb available.
