Vista takes over 2 mins to wake up from sleep mode

I have an Asus A8n32-MVP Deluxe Mboard w/ 2GB DDR RAM, AMD 3800+X2, ATI
X1900XT

When Vista enters sleep mode it takes longer to get the machine up and
running again than a cold start. Would anyone know in what direction I
should be looking for a solution? Bios? Drivers?

Thanks for any help

Hi,
Bios? Drivers?

Could be either or a combination of both. There is no definitive answer
other than trying out different things. Selectively disabling various pieces
of non-essential hardware is always a good place to start, as is updating
drivers from Vista-suppied to motherboard maker-supplied ones. I would avoid
the BIOS update unless you were to find something specific, that board is of
a recent enough vintage where it would be unlikely that the code is
incompatible.
