vista screensaver

i have an emachine and am running vista home premium i am using the keyboard
and mouse that came with the computer but my screensaver will not come on any
suggestions

If you are using a wireless mouse and keyboard, you will need to go to
Windows Update and pick up the optional 'HID' patch..
