Vista Product key

I re-installed Vista Home Premium on my desk top and I cannot use the same
product key. I don't want to buy another one again. Would any one be able
to help.

This as been asked and answered a significant number of times in this group.
Please search for answers to your question before you post another
repetition of the same issue.

{the answer to our problem is to activate by phone - stay on the phone and
speak to a person after the attempt to activate using the automated system}

You may not "want" to buy another copy of vista for a second computer, but
that is exactly what Vista forces you to do.

One key per computer. This has not changed since "forever". It has always
been so. It is just that Vista now enforces this fact to reduce *PIRACY* -
which is what you are attempting to do.

In case I misunderstood you, if you are just trying to reinstall Vista on
the same computer you can activate the O/S by phone.

I don't know how you came to the absolute conclusion
the OP was attempting to use one license on two computers,
and then labeled him a pirate. While it's not totally clear what
the OP's intentions are, he does say "re-installed"- which to
me, more than likely means the same computer.

Also, just in case you've been sleeping- Microsoft has not reduced
*PIRACY*.... absolutely positively *not*.

If you are re-installing then when you attempted to activate your copy of
Vista you were probably told that 'you cannot activate because your product
key is already in use.' Yes it is in use because 'you' are using it. All you
need do is use the telephone activation option. The system is automated and
will probably refuse activation again, 'however' stay on the line and you
should be transferred to a 'real' person. Explain the situation and your
system will be activated.
