Vista problems

I have been experiencing many problems with restarting or shutting down
Vista, home premium. I have gotten the blue screen twice, and on several
other occasions just today, I have had to shut down by holding down the power
switch. This seems to me to be unacceptable, but I have no idea how to fix
any problems that are causing this behavior. If it continues, perhaps I
should just revert to XP. At least then programs that I already have will
run without very lengthy update downloads.

Was it just a plain blue screen or did it have text on it?

The text relates to the error as does the number code that starts '0x0'..
give us that info, and we may be able to help you..

I have had the same problem with Vista Family Premium! I have to hold the
power button down to shut down. Have you had any new info on the problem?
Tech support had me uninstall Norton Works and then go to Symantec's website
and use their "Norton Removal Tool" on top of the uninstall I ran and then I
re-loaded Norton 360 that's alledgadly "compatiable" with Vista????
