Vista on virtual server

Tried to install Vista on a Virtual Server. The DVD with Vista loads, and
then stops and gives an error message:

File: \windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc000035a
Info: Attempting to load a 64-bit application, however this CPU is not
compatible with 64-bit mode.

I'm running Virtual Server 2005 R2 on Windows XP Pro 64 Edition. Is it
possible to run Vista 64-bit edition inside a Virtual Server?

Hi Larry,
No - VS2005R2 will only run 32-bit programs in it.
Thanks for your answer.
I assumed the 64-bit version of VS2005R2 would be able to host 64-bit OS,
but appearantly not. :)

VS 2005 R2 runs on 64bit hosts but only supports 32bit guests. Support of
64bit guests will not come until sometime during the Longhorn wave. There
is a difference between the program Virtual Server, which does not need
virtualization to run, and the guests which do. VS virtualizes a 32bit cpu
for use of the guests.
