Vista Logon problem in to 2000 Pro

I

Ibrahim

Hi, I have a little workgroup. I have a printer server running 2000 Pro, 5
PCs running XP, and 2 Laptops running Vista.
I can print and access the files in the 2000 Pro server from any XP PC. From
both Laptops running vista I can see all the computers in the workgroup, I
can also see the files and use the printer of any PC running XP. The problem
is between Vista and 2000 Pro. I can access files in the Vista Laptops from
the 2000 Pro Server, but I can not see any shared folder or use any printer
in the 2000 Pro Server from the Vista Laptops. Each time I try to connect to
the 2000 Pro Server from the Vista laptops I get a logon dialog box; I
defined in the 2000 Pro server the same users I have in the Vista laptops (I
did't do so for the XP PCs and they work just fine) and no matter what user I
use to logon (I try to use also the 2000 Pro administrator user) I always get
a "Logon Unsucessful" error.
The vista and 2000 Pro has the NetBUI on TCP/IP enabled.
What can I do??

For both commands I get the following:

The syntax of this command is:
NET
[ACCOUNTS | COMPUTER | CONFIG | CONTINUE | FILE | GROUP | HELP | HELPMSG |
LOCALGROUP | PAUSE | PRINT | SESSION | SHARE | START | STATISTICS | STOP
|TIME | USE | USER | VIEW]

Did you replace win2000ipaddress with the win 2000 IP address?

Yes, and the hostname with the computer name. I wrote the following:

You must give a space between "net view" "\\ip".
