I have to give Vista one thing, the entertainment value Vista provides is
excellent =)

I don't think I've laughed this hard yet this year...

Hey, he made a sentence!
With proper capitalization, almost punctuation and everything!
(sometimes you have to set the bar a little lower for some)

Funny!! But voice recognition is still problematic on any OS, not just
Vista.

No kidding, but it is getting better. Way back I was a beta tester for
IBM on a early product and just to get through the training phase to
"teach" the software your basic speech patterns was a nightmare and
required many practice runs. ;-)

Yea, I think that was it. I remember. Way before that I had something
hardware based in BYTE magazine, ran off a serial port I think. Forget
what it was called, had a couple of knobs you could fiddle with only
problem was there wasn't much range. The computer generated voice
either sounded like Henry Kissinger with a bad cold or the chipmunks
at the other extreme.

Eh, he would have had problems with other solutions as well. Some voices
just don't read well. Plus, he ran all his words together. It wasn't until
he got "serious" with the delete command, it worked 99% of the time to
delete what he wanted.

"press comma?" All you have to say is "comma."

My voice doesn't pick up for squat with any solution. It's way to deep.

It was pretty funny to watch him fall all over himself ;p

I saw that a few weeks ago, laughed my a*% off.
As one who has used computerized dictation (Dragon) for years,
I can truly say that the idiot who made that video is a
complete (as opposed to partial) moron.

This moron gives true meaning to the term "idiot". The funny part of
this video is just how stupid this guy is and how well the software
really works.
