I have a full retail version of home premium and have installed a clean copy
on my computer. I understand that I can use this only on the one computer
on which it is installed. However, if it is necessary for a system recovery,
can I use this same DVD to reinstall it and if so, is re-installation limited
to a number of times this can be reinstalled? Thanks

Your retail version can be reinstalled an unlimited number of times on the
same hardware without affecting the legality of your license.

Hi RickC,

You can use the same disk and product key to reinstall on the same machine
as many times as you deem necessary, there is no limit. The only difference
you may encounter is that activation will no longer be automated and require
that you use the phone activation method.

In addition, since this is a retail disk, should this system die and you
want to install it on another, or you simply want to run Vista on a
different machine, this too is allowed provided it is no longer installed on
the original system.

Certainly.

No, it's not. You can do it as often as you need or want to.
