Vista clean reinstall

I purchased a computer which came with Vista Home Premium preinstalled. I
have been having misc. problems so I want to reinstall the operating system.
Can you tell me the procedure to do this. Is this the best way to do it.

Thank you, but I cannot find a user's guide in my computer. I do see a
manuel, but it does not give me the information I'm looking for. Is the
users guide and manuel the same thing?

That Carey Frisch is a fake MVP; be careful!

Sandi; you should have a Recovery Partition on your Hard Drive. You use that
at startup(By hitting a particular F key to fully re-install), or make
Recovery DVDs from it in case your Hard Drive completely fails.

If you don't have a Manual about how to use the Recovery Partition, check
the computer manufacture's website or ring them directly.

Before you do a re-install, make sure all your DATA is backed up, as it will
be lost during re-installation, as will be any programs installed by you

Sandi; Carey Frisch is a fake MVP.

If it is not in your Manual, go to the computer Manufacturer's website for
info on how to do a Recovery, or contact them by phone for details.

You will have 2 partirions on your Hard drive; one is the Recovery Partition.
At startup there will be a F Key that you can hit to begin the stsyem
recovery Process.
Make sure that all DATA is backed up, and you will also lose all programs
that you have installed.

No one except the computer mftr. can answer this question. Each computer
mftr. handles the restore to factory condition process differently. If you
can't find the information in whatever documentation you got with the
computer, go to the computer mftr.'s website and look for tech support for
your specific model machine. Or call their tech support.
