Install Action Pack Vista Business over preinstalled Home Premium

I am buying a new laptop. My choices all come with Vista Home Premium
preinstalled at no extra cost. I have an Action Pack subscription and have
multiple licenses for both Vista Ultimate and Vista Business. Can I use my
Action Pack disks to upgrade the preinstalled Home Premium version on the
laptop without wiping the hard drive clean and starting fresh?

No. Home Premium to Business Edition is not considered an upgrade.
Ultimate would be an upgrade, and would work. Probably. For retail it
would, can't say about Action Packs.

I am in the same boat. I cannot find any relevant information in the MS site
about using an Action Pack version to upgrade an off the shelf version of
Vista Home Premium.

I contacted Action Pack support. I will have to do a clean install of Vista
Business but can do an upgrade to Vista Ultimate. One cannot upgrade from
Home Premium to Business. A bite because Home Premium does not have remote
connection.
