Vista Business Edition VL Image not working.

Guest

Need some help..

My company has our keys and have the access to download the image files for
Windows Vista, however when I download the image it's downloading as an .img
file and not .iso. After download when I burn it to DVD it's corrupt, have
tried burning it several ways. Can't even mount it, get the same error. I
have downloaded it several times and get the same error about autorun.dll
being corrupts as well as other files. Can someone shed some light on this?
Renaming the file from .img to .iso does not work either. Anyone else having
this problem? Is there a paticular way you have to burn it.

Never seen anything like this.....

Help!!! :)

I am also having this issue. Downloaded the images 4 times. Tried multiple
ways to burn them as well. Did you happen to find a fix?

G

Guest

Nope,

Google turns up nothing on the issue.

Had a friend try it and no luck there either. Got to me someone out there
that can help with this.

Guess I just need to order media kits on Monday...

Just wanted to add that I am having the same issues regarding autorun.dll and
such, though changing the extension to ISO has worked for me. Do you guys get
the error regarding winload.exe?

I could not find the download on the MSDN site, I thought it may be different
than the one on the VL site. I guess we'll have to wait for them to update
the DL. Anyone else find the file on MSDN? It says it would be posted last
Friday as well.

Same issue here. In windows i get the Autorun.dll 0xC1 error, if i try to
boot from DVD, it goes in to a setup screen after 'Loading windows files' and
has an error relating to \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe - 0xC0000001

Have tried downloading img more than once, different burn programs at
different speeds etc. and no joy. What is going on?

G

Anyone heard anything else? I haven't checked today yet; maybe they release
an updated version.

G

Called MS today and the tech said they esscalated this up to support. Who
knows...Guess we just sit and wait...

Thanks for calling MS Paul. Wait we will...

Stupid question, but did you try renaming .IMG to .ISO? I did that with
Office 2007 and it worked fine. I opened the .IMG with UltraISO and
burned a new .ISO. You might give that a try...

Hello th,
Is this from an open agreement or from a Select\EA agreement?
The downloads are from different locations.
can you escalate through these aliases?
(e-mail address removed) or (e-mail address removed)

We tested the downloads and they were fine.
There have quite few a downloads and no-one has called in or reported the
issue through the normal channels.

Thanks,
