Vista backup - eventually fills up all free space

I'm using the Vista backup utility to backup doc, xls etc. It has its
own 500GB drive as a destination. Over time it fills up all space and
then starts to fail. Is there anyway to have it remove the oldest
backups? Do I have to dig through the files manually?

thanks,

Drew

If it helps the error is as follows:

an error occurred. the following information might help you resolve
the problem.

there is not enoguh space to save the backup files. free up disk space
or change your backup settings. (0x81000005)

Vista backup is complete rubbish ScubaDrew, significantly worse than even
Windows XP's backup solution. They had a retarded monkey design that app
when he wasn't busy picking his nose. I highly recommend obtaining a
third-party utility for this, such as Norton's desktop backup product or
Retrospect (if you're an advanced user).

Thanks Adam - this is what I expected, another vista disappointment.
