Vista and the Sims

i resently found a old copy of the sims and i wanted to show my GF how much
better it is for the pc than the ps2.
When i instal the sims it works fine and no problems, i run the game when
i'm done, that when i go play it the second time it starts to load then
crashes and goes back to the desktop.
I know it's a long shot but does anyone know how to fix it?

Funny enough I had the same problem with Battlefield 2142, it was workign ne
day and then 3 days later I would double click on teh icon, the mouse would
change and then change back. I did alot of un-installing, rebooting, but
couldn't get it to work.

I then logged in under another user account, re-installed the game and it's
worked fine so far since then.

I'd try logging in under a different account (even if you have to create
one) and then try it again.Also, just an OBTW, there is a vista.games group
you can post to, since I don't know how many games people watch teh general
forums
