Vista and Office 2000

I have heard that Vista and Outlook 2000 don't work together. But do Word
and Excel? I'd like to know before I install.

Hi Peter, from another Pete. I have Vista Home premium with Word and
Excel 2000 running good as gold. Installation and operation are totally
normal. if you need to install SP1,2,and/or3 for Office 2000 you will
just need to run the updates with admin privileges, that's all. Outlook
2000 can be made to run just fine on Vista also, although I don't use
it. Google for it if you are interested - there's a pretty
straightforward tweak for that. But, as I said, Word and Excel are fine.
Can't speak for Power power as I never use it.

Hope this helps.

Its not certified to work with Vista, but I have seen it working quite well
on a few Windows Vista systems.

Ya gotta read the fine print. :)

In the More Information section of that article.

Also, the oldest office version that appears on either the 'works with' or
'certified' list is office 2003.

Why is it not certified. It states otherwise. Fully supported by Vista
