Vista and Messenger

I had problems with Vista freezing up so I turned off all power options. I
have noticed since then that Vista still freezes up. It seems every time
that it does Messenger is running. I haven't tried running Vista without
Messenger to see if Messenger is "hanging" Vista up. Has any one else
noticed this? As I am at work right now, I don't remember exactly the
version of Messenger I'm running. I will look later today when I get home.

PS It would be great if Microsoft has two programs that fight one another.

I can tell you that when I ran the Vista Upgrade Advisor before my Upgrade,
it listed MSN Messenger as a problem .

The only problem I had was that I could not find it in Add/Remove.
