Vista and Fax and Scan

I have several thousand sent faxes in my SentFax folder. In the past when
installing Windows XP or 98, all I had to do was point Windows Fax to the
appropriate folder where the previous sent faxes were and then they would
show up in Windows Fax. Because of how Windows Fax generates the .tif file,
it assigned a long serials of numbers and symbols as the fax name. This
information was only interpretable by Windows Fax, so that this long serials
of numbers and symbols would show up in Windows Fax as, for example, "John
Doe", "ABC Company" along with the Subject, number of pages, successfully
sent and the date sent. So right now I have all my sent faxes that are
available to view, but they will not appear in Windows Fax and Scan. Are
they compatible? It wouldn't make sense for them not to be, but I am at a
loss.

Which version of Vista do you have? As you might know, the Home Premium does
NOT contain the Windows Fax program, so perhaps that is why you can't read
your faxes. If you have the Business or Ultimate version, then perhaps
someone else can give you an answer.

I have both a Home Premium and an Ultimate version installed on
separate computers.
Is there a way to copy the fax program from the Ultimate machine
to the Home Premium machine?
