Hello...Everything appears to be running fine, but on startup a notepad
(Desktop.ini) opens up with the following:

[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

What's it trying to tell me? I can close the Notepad and continue, and don't
see any problems.

Hi,

Your desktop.ini file in one of your two Startup folders has lost it's
hidden attributes, it seems. Open your Start menu on the desktop, go to All
Programs, right click on the Startup folder, and select Open. Then do this
again again, only this time select Open All Users. If an unhidden
desktop.ini file shows up in either or both of the folders, go to its
properties and put a check next to hidden, on the Properties dialogue's
General tab (Apply, OK).

Hope this helps,
Dean

Thanks for the reply, Dean...However...
One of the desktop.ini files IS hidden, and the all users one is not, but
greyed out...ie, hidden not selectable. Any other thoughts here?

The Desktop.ini file that is greyed out and not selectable also has system
attributes. This is normal and the way it should be. Since both
desktop.ini's should read the same in Notepad, copy the one that is greyed
out/not selectable and paste it into the folder that contains the one that
is hidden/selectable, and choose Replace when the dialogue pops up. You
could also use the Command Prompt to re-attribute system properties to the
desktop.ini that is hidden/selectable if you are comfortable doing that, but
the first suggestion might be the easiest.

Hope this helps,
Dean
