Weird - I somehow fixed the problem I described in my
previous reply to this. All I did was: I opened History,
opened one of the longest-ago weeks (14 weeks ago), and
opened a site there. The visited links were correctly
shown. Then when I went back to my normal browsing,
visited links were correctly shown. Weird. I hope it
sticks.
Prior to that, I did several things that did not appear to
help, but may have affected it for all I know. I went
into Tools, Internet Options, Temporary Internet Files,
Settings and increased the Temp Folders size and
changed "Check for newer versions of stored pages" from
Automatically to "Every visit to the page". And I
increased my History by 1 day. I've since changed
the "Check for..." back to Automatically and it still
seems to work OK.
