I am getting this virus on the mail almost every week, my earthlink virus
blocker put on quarentine most of the times , the rest, a deleted myself
from the headings window of Poppy for Windows , before it reaches mail
mail.
My cuestion is: Why it comes to my system , and how I set up my security
system, to keep it out? I use Windows XP, and the sp2, updated. and
Earthlink virus-blocker.

it get's to your system because you retreive your e-mail. your isp has no
anti-virus running on the mail server, or it is not configured/able to
catch this particular virus.

the virus is usually sent to your e-mail by annother computer that is
infected with said virus. it can have your e-mail address in several
ways....

1. it's a person you know that you converse with by e-mail that has the
virus.

2. your e-mail address is contained within an e-mail on the infected
system, as in pages and pages of forward header's, like a joke that has
been forwarded by multiple people, that was forwarded by multiple people,
and non of those people cleaned up the headers before forwarding.

3. other ways.

it also sounds like you have your security system setup properly to deal
with it.

the only true way of not getting to your system is to never retreive your
e-mail.

Yes I some times get mail been forwarded by multiple people, probably thats
is the source. Now, because I know it when I see it , I always can delete
before do any damage.

In addition to the other replies:
You also need locally installed antivirus software, that you keep updated
regularly, and that runs resident in the background at all times. If you
don't have any, get some - AVG has a freebie if you don't want to buy a
product (although some of the AVG options are "crippled" in the free
version, and you will get no tech support).
