Virus

Hello,

Can anyone help with the following :

Operating system - Windows 2000

Unable to copy and paste files or directories to and from
different drives and to desktop. There is no error message
just a pinging noise.

Ben,

We have been recieving this same problem... As well check
your c:\winnt folder... does it display any files? Check
your Add/Remove Programs does it display any programs? It
looks as if a new variant of the Blaster virus is among us
but I have no definate proof of this yet! My problems
seemed to have resolved once we took users off the server
and rebooted it. Without users the box is stable. I have
run Virus Scan and the Blaster removal tool and found
nothing. Next I am starting to look towards our clients,
aparently you can experience the problem without actually
being infected with the Virus if a client that is
connected to you has it even if your server has been
patched. I will let you know more when I know more!
