Virus software wont let Outlook sync

I have been working hard on the Exchange 5.5 server and
doing a lot of work with virus protection as we've been
hit hard here. Only one Outlook 2K3 user is having
problems. Here's what his sync log says:

He has a 122 entries and these are just a sample.

would I be wrong in looking at that and coming up with the simple conclusion
that you simply cannot sync active files while they are being scanned by
your AV?

Is Matthew running a secondary AV somewhere or syncing at a different time
than the others who have no problems or perhaps something on his machine is
causing files to be active while sync is trying to occur?

You might want to post to one of the Exchange newsgroups - it appears that
this is more Exchange related than Outlook related.
