Virus Removing Help

I have an up to date anti-virus and it scanned and cleaned up a virus my
computer succumbed to. yet everyday (after the anti-viru declares my
computer virus free) this message appears:

Virus Identified Worm/Nachi.B is found in file C:\System volume
Information\_restore{344D6AOF-CE3C-4FE8-85DE-CCCF54169E06}\RP3\A0001222.exe

What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Thanks.

It's a virus stuck in the system restore.

Turn off the system restore.

Reboot.
Turn on the system restore.
Make a manual restore point.. Continue on with life normally.

Thanks for this. Just checking, obviously once I turn off system restore, I
run my anti-virus program, then once the anti-virus has cleared me virus, I
turn system restore back on?

Is this correct? Sorry, I'm a newbie to XP so am double checking to make
sure before proceeding.

AntiVirus programs cannot remove virus infections from the System Restore
Vol. You have to disable System Restore which will purge the contents of
your System Restore after a restart, deleting the virus. Then you re-enable
system restore. Directions here:

Turning off System restore and turing it back on really is all that is
necessary if the virus is only found in the system restore files.

Disable, reboot, re-enable is all that is necessary since the copy of the
virus in SysRestore will be deleted. Not a bad idea to re-run the AV scan
afterward just for your peace-of-mind. Once you are satisfied that
everything is clean, set a RestorePoint and go on about your life.
