Virus protection

I'm a novice computer person and I have some questions.
Currently I'm using an AntiNorton virus system to protect
my computer, however I have no protection in my Email
program to prevent Email viruses. I use Windows 1998
computer. Do you have any patches and other antivirus
software that I can download? Also, I use Outlook Express
for all my Email. Please get back to me as soon as
possible with any information that I can use to protect my
computer again viruses.
