clean and I dont know how to uninstall IE6 so I can re
install it again as it does not show on Add/Remove
programs and its no good just deleting it. Anyone any
ideas?

apparently popmon is a trojan thet monitors your email. how
about downloading some free antivirus at grisoft.com in
the downloads and install and update and then scan your
sytem with it for 45 minutes to remove the trojan.

Jaycee,
Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.

Jane I have scanned my computer both with my own AV
utility and online and both said this virus was
uncleanable

Hi,
"both said this virus was uncleanable"
That's not true! ....... it's NOT a virus ... just a browser hijacker
(trojan)
