on my c: drive i have a directory called c:\common files\update\update.exe
has a virus mentioned above. however i cant copy the file over or move it or
even delete it to remove the virus and norton didnt find it but AVG the free
virus did but cant move it. any suggestions on how to remove the virus?

Hi John,

Remove it by running Ad-Aware. And while you are at it, run the rest of
them. You may be suprised as to what shows up. Good luck!
