virtual memory

Every time I try to log on to the internet I get a
message saying that I am low on virtual memory. I have
it set where Windows controls it but it never changes.
The sign on screen stays up on my screen until I can
finally get it closed then everything is fine. This
computer only has 8 GB of memory and only 64 MB ram

With an 8GB hard disk and 64 MBs memory you are at the lower end of the
specs. for XP. Upgrade your memory to at least 256 MBs if possible. How
free hard disk space have you got? See if the following article by Alex

I recently formatted this hard drive and I have 6 GB free
hard disk space.
