A good rule-of-thumb is to set your virtual memory to twice your RAM. So,
if you have 512 MB of RAM, set virtual memory to 1024 MB, both minimum and
maximum. This prevents Windows from having to dynamically resize virtual
memory and can give some performance benefit. The best way to go is to
simply get more RAM.
