Answers are normally posted to the group - under the question - and not to
mail. Use search to locate your name or topic, if necessary.

Please post in both UPPER and lowercase. Thanks.

For great info on managing virtual memory, see...

Hi rookie! Most folks consider capital letters as shoutting.
It's considered rude. I corrected the post for you.

Also, you should not post your email address in the forum
here. I've taken out the email address from the visual text,
but it's still posted and I imagine you'll be looking for a new
email address by the end of the week. The amount of spam
that goes out to email addresses posted here, prevents most
people from posting their email addresses here. It's just a
suggestion. Being that you're expecting email, I really don't
know if you'll be returning to the newsgroup. If you do
return, and see this message, please reply (in proper case)
and let us know you are still awaiting an answer.

right click my computer and go to properties. click on the tab that says advanced.click on performance settings , should be on the top. click on advanced next to visual effects. where it says ( virtual memory), click change . see what the maximum size is. click the custom radio button and set the memory for 100 mb over what your setting is. that should work. please let me know though, what the size is set to. ok? thanks.

Sorry you hate newsgroups. I'm not going to make excuses
for you.

I won't apologize for my love of beauty. Nothing to apologize
over.

If someone kicked me in the shin the first time, I'll correct them,
shame on them, no problem. If someone kicked me in the shin
a second time, I'll correct myself, shame on me. If it happens
a third time, George Bush is in trouble. ;-)

If you have a question about something I can answer, I'll try
to give you an answer. It will probably be wrong, and may
never be right, but I'll be willing to try.

You aren't Rookie Elizabeth, are you?

The DELL DIMENSION 4600 uses and intel chipset. You should visit the intel
site at www.intel.com and download and install the intel accelerator. That
should fix the problem.

Harry,

Would that accellerator help those of us running a Pentium 4?

Thanks,

Tom
