Message pops up on my desktop -- "Windows - Virtual Memory
Minimum Too Low" ????

It seems that you are running an intensive task or tasks that has used a lot
of memory, so the OS is now using the hard disk as memory substitute that
has been alotted to it, but that has been set at certain rate depending on
your hard disk size.

Windows XP should automatically increase for you in the background while you
continue to work.

See the Problems section at my page www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm

I am becoming increasingly suspicious of Symantec/Norton software in
this context, so if you have installed a recent NAV try Uninstalling it
and see

Symantec Nav/Nis takes up a lot of resources because of the
extensive "Logging" it does. I've found that unless you are really
interested in tracking data - Best to disable logging on all the
categories that those two applications will do by default.

Just access the Reports from the main interface. Right click
each category & Clear category then immediately afterwards
Right Click the category header again and take Disable logging.
