VIRTPART.DAT -- What is it.

I have, on the root of my system partition, a file named VIRTPART.DAT.
It has today's date and is 26 megs or so.

Can someone tell me what this file is and can I delete it. I suspect
Norton Ghost might have put it there because the last image I took with
Ghost has the same date and time stamp.
