VirtPart.Dat: What is it.

In my WindowsXP main folder, there is a file named VIRTPART.DAT. What is its
function? Can I delete it? My friends main folder do not have such a file.

Do you perhaps have Norton Ghost installed and your friend does not?

That is a question that you need to ask Symantec. Virtpart.dat appears to
be a data file associated with Ghost operation. I am not using Ghost so I
cannot recommend what you should do. I associated Virtpart.dat with Ghost
via a Goggle search.

You may want to right click on the file and select properties to obtain
additional file information.
