Standard caveat: If the procedures look too complex - and there is no
shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a
professional computer repair shop (not your local version of
BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). Please be aware that not all local shops
are skilled at removing malware and even if they are, your computer may
be so infested that Windows will need to be clean-installed. Have all
your data backed up before you take the machine into a shop.

I don't have the original post, sorry about the "reply Hi-jack"...

Download "ComboFix". This was on my buddy's system, and this got rid of it
completely... Very easy to use, just run it and let it do it's thing,
removes virprotect and MANY MANY other things, quickly and easily...

Link is within the following post, disregard the part about posting the log
into a thread, that is only for those that are posting to that forum,
looking for help to get rid of different things. Run it and let it remove
the crap!
