Hi

i'm trying to get my new work laptop onto my homeless wirless connection, but it hangs on "acquiring network address".

I've tried manually setting the IP addresses etc to the same settings as another computer on my home wireless net, which lets me connect to the network, but not to the internet (assume there is some kind of security blocking it).

I've unchecked the proxy settings box in internet options, but no joy.

At work i'm also on a DHCP server. Have also tried logging in under a non-network user name, to no avail.

Any hints would be appreciated...

err, a list of hardware, and software, as in what OS you are using, may help. ;)
