Viewing user documents from another HDD in XP

Hello again, I set up my old IDE HDD on my new PC and can view it alright but I can not get into folders within documents and settings because it is on my old user account. Other than setting up the drive on my old PC (now in bits) to get it to boot then moving the files how can I get access to these files? Can it be done through the file sharing settings?
