Viewing the registry of a slaved drive

Is it possible to view and edit the registry of a slaved
hard drive? I am trying to rescue one that gets into a
logon loop and suspect that something is still hiding in
the registry.

I have already done virus and ad-/spyware scans.

Thanks.

I don't believe so, Regedit is internally set to open the hives
from C:\Windows\System32\Config.
Are you trying to retrieve data, or repair the disk so you can
boot the XP install on it ?

I want to make sure there's no nasty little program in
the Run key that's causing the logon loop.

If I could get the machine to startup, I would use the
network feature of RegEdit.

When you log on, the user settings seem to be loading,
and then suddenly you see "Logging off..." and you're
sent right back to the logon box. I figure either there's
something hiding in the Run key, or WinXP has gone south.
I suppose it could be the laptop power supply, too.

Thanks.

Sorry, I forgot to add my name and address again. It was
me who wrote that post.
