Viewing the contents of multiple folders in one window?

As my collection of digital media expands, I've had to add HDD space to my
PC. I filled my old HDD with about half of my CD collection, and I've been
ripping the rest to my new drive. Is there any way to view the contents of
BOTH folders in the same window so I can more easily choose the music I want
to hear?

I don't really like using WMP or other library apps for two reasons: new
music must be added manually to the list and after I've ripped a few CDs it
becomes confusing as to what is exactly new, it's much easier to pick the
album folders as I need them. The other reason is that a lot of my music was
ripped with bad or missing ID3 tags and are filenamed starting with the track
number rather than the album so again is is difficult to sort by album.

Currently I have the folders set up as i:\music\artist\album\track.mp3 which
works for the most part, it just means I have to remember which drive the
music I'm looking for is on.

Any insight is appriciated.

Hi
Seem's like you need a database or something
Look here

David, Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, the only other post concerning the
same question I asked didn't get an answer.

I did a little more research and it seems that Vista will have a "virtual
folders" feature that will do something similar to what I want to do. Also
OSX has the feature and calls it "smart folders."

Anyway to get this done in XP?

Turns out that WMP10 has a feature where you can have it "add to library" by
monitoring a list of folders. This is the best solution I could find, I still
have about a hunderd songs that don't sort properly, but they all sit at the
top of the list, the rest sort by artist, album, track name and filename.
