viewing Powerpoint on digital TV

John Shamblin

I have a new Samsung 50" plasma TV with input jacks for HDMI/DVI cables,
D-Sub cable for connection to a PC, USB cable, optical cable, S-Video and
audio, component and composite cables,
I have a laptop with a VGA port to connect to a display device (monitor, LCD
projector) with several PowerPoint (scenic) presentations on it. Could I
connect a D-Sub cable from the PC VGA output jack to the D-Sub input jack
on the TV and view these presentations, in effect using the TV as a monitor
or digital projector for the laptop?

You sure can, however you will need to set your systems resolution to match
the display.

Yes you can.
1. Set your systems resolution to match the display.
2. Convert PowerPoint to DVD with PPT2DVD then play it on TV with DVD
player.

No reason at all to convert it to anything.
