viewing info from old web pages

i'm trying to bring up some old history of a previous im from yahoo does my computer capture a picture of the im and if it does how do i find it

If the messaging program that you're using offers a logging feature and if
you have the feature enabled, there will be a record somewhere on the
system. Check the programs settings or help file to find out where the log
files are stored.
