Viewing Final Video in 16:9 Aspect Ratio

Using my Canon Optura 20 camera I recorded my raw video using 16:9 aspect
ration. I imported into MMM2, edited, added titles, transitions, effects,
audio, etc. and then saved the final video back to my DV tape on my Canon
Optura 20. When I viewed this on my television it used the 4:3 standard ratio
and not 16:9.

Is there a way to save it with the 16:9 aspect ratio? What did I miss?

Also, because I recorded over the original tape, my finished movie ended
before my raw footage. What remained of my raw footage appeared on my
television in the 16:9 aspect ratio. Is there something I must do to preserve
the 16:9 aspect ratio thru to the finished product?

Doh! I was out Googling for the answer with no luck then I told myself there
had to be a way. I went searching and found the answer, then I read your
reply.

For anyone who's interested in the solution, in WMM:

1. Click TOOLS, then OPTIONS
2. Selected the ADVANCED tab and go to VIDEO PROPERTIES
3. Switch from the default 4:3 to 16:9
