Viewing email and pictures that are blocked

I click on the banner to download pictures, but they still will not display.
I have unchecked the box so that all pictures are to down load but I still
get the box with the red x and can't view the pictures.

Any suggestions?

Outlook version? Does this happen in all messages with embedded graphics or
just some?

To find out your Outlook version (this works with just about any Windows
program by the way), go to the Help menu and select About Microsoft
Outlook...the version number is listed there.

I am using Outlook 2003. I am having the same issue as well with all
pictures that are sent to me via email. They all appear in a box with a red
X in the upper left hand corner. I am not given the option to download
pictures if I right click onto the X either.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Are you connected to the Internet when you read the message? Most of these
pictures are probably directly linked from a website or server somewhere. If
you can't access that location, you get the red X.
