Pictures not downloading

vista home premium, outlook 2007 svc pk 2, I have tried about every
suggestion I can find on forums.

When I pop Outlook from Yahoo, the pictures are in boxes with red xs. When
I click on the download pictures ribbon, the boxes turn into squares with
graphic symbals for boxes, circles and triangles.

I have tries altering settings in security to lowest, changing settings in
ie8, and other things, but nothing has worked.

The pictures are there in windows mail which my wife uses, they are there in
Yahoo mail, but for some reason, Outlook does not display them.

I am using pctools, and I have turned off their intelliguard, still no
pictures. And besides - they are coming through to windows mail.

It must be in Outlook, but I am buffaloed. Is there some registry edit I
need to make? Help?

I ran Outlook Tools 2.2.

The last entry on general tab says "Outlook uses the following temorary
folder to open attachmens: Sorry, I could not determine your path to the
Secure Temporary Folder.

What next?
