When I sign on with Internet Explorer6, SP1 to view my banking account, I
get to the login page but when I click login it tells me that it can't
connect to the page.
BUT, when I use my browser Netscape7.1 everything is fine. I have IE as my
default browser and I really like it but I can't understand why it does not
let me view certain web pages. It seems like if a web pages needs me to
fill in a form or something, it will not go to that page.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!
Kathy

IE uses "Zones" for different levels of security. Certain scripting
and other potentially hazardous tasks are zoned into 4 levels of
functionality. Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted and Restricted Zones.
If your bank's login page is coded https:, then it is a secured site.
You can add the URL to your trusted zone and allow a higher
percentage of tasks to run. Open IE, load the login screen for
your bank. Click Tools, Internet Options, Security. Left click
Trusted to highlight, then click the Sites button. Add your bank's
URL to the listing in the form of https://*.bankofamerica.com
Only https: sites can be added, unless you uncheck the https
server verification check box.
This is a potentially dangerous action, as it opens security for
the listed site. Make sure the site is secure (Little lock (Closed)
on the bottom of IE's status bar.) Also check the sites certificate
to make sure you are not on a "Spoofed" site.Spoofed sites are
clones of official sites, but used to collect personal data, such as
account #'s, passwords, etc. If you double-click the lock icon
you can view the site's certificate to make sure it is valid. (Belongs
to the company or organization you think it is)
