View Source of an html document.

Hello,
I am having trouble viewing the code of an html document. I am running Windows XP Home and IE6.0 browser. When I right-click on a web page and click View Source, Notepad immediately opens and I cannot see any html code. Same thing happens when I go to View on the menu bar and click "Source".

Can anyone help?
